Lovely long weekend we had with a marathon movie watching session......
Among the movies we saw were ....back to back two movies produced and directed by Madonna's exes.....
One by Guy Richie and one by Sean Penn.....
Sherlock Holmes and Into the Wild....
her first choice made the second one and a better movie!
Neither of them inspired the pizza though....
The pizzas were for the sweet child and his friend they finally got a go on the play station after Two Long Weeks....
All I did was raided the fridge...
and come up with something the not so hungry brats devoured...
Boys are always willing to eat you may say ...but they were good ...the pizza's not the boys...
For the
Low Calorie Vegetarian Pizza...

For the
Low Calorie Vegetarian Pizza...
you need
2 pre baked wholewheat pizza bases(something I can blog about soon)
2 tablespoons grated cheddar cheese
100 gm Cottage Cheese made with skim milk
Tomato Ketchup
Paneer Butter masala Gravy(Left over....Use any thick tomato based curry from your fridge)
2 tsps Cheese Spread....or Cream Cheese or Butter
1 cube Maggi Vegetarian seasoning
Pre heat your oven to 220C or 230C...
Spread the cheese spread(better than butter...lower in fat and better in taste...gram for gram of butter) on the pizza bases
Dice the paneer or cottage cheese and divide into two bowls.Into one bowl add the ketchup ,seasoning and 1 tbsp of the grated cheese.Adjust the seasoning and spread it on one base.
place the base on aluminium foil and slather the topping on.Bake for 7 minutes.
There is not enough cheese to bind the ketchup...so the topping practically falls of the pizza but because of the paneer and cheese spread ...you don't really miss the stringy mozzarella.
The second one was really great....
In the second bowl of the diced paneer add the gravy and a little salt and pepper. And the remaining 1 tbsp of grated cheddar cheese.and mix well and spread over the second base.
.Sweet child o'mine is quite happy with chillies that pack a punch so I added a good pinch of red chili flakes on the pizza...any thing to pull up the metabolism that will burn maybe an extra 2% of the calories ingested.
Same drill ,pop it into the hot oven for 7-8 minutes. The topping does spread because there is LESS cheese but the taste makes up for it.Sliced and served with a humongous glass of cold coffee....They disappeared before anyone could say...hey share!
These were two happy faces and bellies.....Children are so easy to please...just forget the word HEALTHY!
Try something new for your family ...
So what are you baking today????
