No bake ...for a change...but the "titude" is still there!
The egg is in the "broat" that your love provided it with...
broat...as in bread which acts as a boat...
the love is the heart shaped cookie cutter...and the boat is what that did to the slice of bread!
It would have been practical to cut out a round from the slice...but the heart just melts....This is for you- if you like your eggs just done and not hard like a basketball........
All it needs is a little imagination and a big cookie cutter ....
and of course the egg-and the slice of bread with a minuscule amount of oil and salt and pepper....
that's a long list....
that's what started it...
Of course after this came THIS!!
So we had many many many hearts....and "heartless" slices of bread!
All we needed to do was lightly toast the bread on a pan...you can ,if you want to butter both sides of the bread and the little hearts....and when they are done..
Pour the yolk and half of the white into " the hole in the heart" and the remaining white into the heart mould itself......the heart is too small for the whole egg....
Season lightly on this I like only salt...the hearts can be dunked into the gooey yolks...
...do not over cook -the yolk is always great a little underdone!
If any of you are familiar with Anthony Bourdain and his crack pot banter...and are big fans like me ..you would know why he likes to call himself an "Egg Slut"....First he ate the eggs, for his own pleasure ,then he ate them for friends and now he eats them for money......Rofl!
I wouldn't use the same words ...because no one pays me to taste and critique the eggs.....but I would SO love to do that!
Needless to say that the egg in the boats were YUMMY!! good for breakfast ,lunch or dinner!
Try The Egg In a Broat...maybe with a round cookie cutter ...even a bowl will do!
