Thailand on my Mind Air Asia...

Posted on 10:07 by Unknown

I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as

they fly by.
                                                                                                     Douglas Adams

Deadlines and more deadlines...
I should know...
I count my minutes by deadlines.
And then I bemoan pressure and stress...
I have been absent from blogosphere...not writing or blogging because the words in my head have been protesting.
Protesting because of overwork and too much noise.
Too much noise is what I am suffering from.
I seem to be surrounded by din...the din of voices...
Shrill,squeaky,gruff and many more varieties...
Screaming and shouting and calling out and guffawing and whispering and yelling and yelping...
Of PA systems that go deaf and dumb and mute...
No,I don't work in a mad house or in a zoo...
I work in a SCHOOL.
A school full of boisterous children and( no animals around)and trains playing peek a boo...rather BOOOOOOOOOO...
The school I work in is next to the railway line...an arterial rail line of the Northern Railways,Indian Railways .
Busy tracks,never a dull moment.
And then there is this fact that I teach history and economics and political science and mathematics and love telling stories and so have to talk nineteen to a dozen...
And then there is the preparation for the annual day celebrations going on...
And then at home I have sweet child and sweet dog and hubby dear at home who love to talk and watch movies and listen to music...
And the music has to be loud.
So what I crave is SOLITUDE!
I want to just bury my head in the sand so that I can evade the sound of people talking...
I can just not hear the sound of the whoosh of a train ...
I am so ready to book myself on a trip to Bangkok..
Why Bangkok...Dream Asian travel Fair and also ‘World’s Best Online Travel Fair’ ...
Need I say more.
I am not going there for the shopping or the food.
No sir,I am on a diet...as always and I'd rather not fill my cupboards any more with things.I want to spend the money I have on travel and food and things.
Yes,I am only human.
For the silence I crave ,I'd love to go to the Grand Palace Bangkok, the home of the kings of Siam since the 18th century.Read all about it in Anna and I.
google images
I would love to visit the many temples in Bangkok...Wat Phra Kaew, Wat arun,Wat Suthat and so many more ,just to pass some time in the silence and serenity of the temples dedidacarted to the Budha. Its not that our temples are not peaceful and serene ,but these are Quieter...
google images
The next place I'd love to visit is Siam Ocean World...
Just to be amazed zt the beauty of the water world...
The beauty of the fisha nd the serenity of the water that surrounds it.

google images

I wouldnt mind a trip on a boat to the flower market to be blown over by the scent of fresh flowers, and the colours and the varieties....
google images
All the images are amazing, just wandering through theby lanes of the market will be like walking into a HD TV screen...with the ability to touch and feel and smell the flowers...
Wow.
But I wouldlove to go back to the Wats. Make my spiritual reconnect and burn some incence sticks and then offer some prayers...
google images
I love the peace that the Buddha symbolises...
And then when my ears have healed...
I'd love to return to the madness of life...
China town and then one night in Bangkok would not be complete without  a nightclub...
So I'd love to party...
get drunk on life and vodka nd then dance like no one is watching me(of course hubby dear would be there to stand guard-you didnt think I 'd go alone ...did you??)
No fun in life if you don't share the sorrows and the headaches and the happiness...
So tempting...
But the rail road beckons...
School day tomorrow.
Wonder when my school days will end???

Lets keep the dream alive...and dream on.
Makes life more interesting and more fun...
What if children could talk all they wanted and not be heard??
What if I could park an aircraft in my garage??
What if  fares were always so cheap???
What if???
